Hidden Bay

One of MYR's most important values is the continuous search for fresh new talent to welcome to its growing family of artists. A keen eye for deep, emotionally constructive productions has always been at the core of the label's presence. Stepping up to join the family is Andy Kas, a Berlin-based producer specialising in deep, eclectic jazz-infused sounds that have an unexpected knack for getting you moving.

Andy's “Hidden Bay” EP brings a refreshing swing to the label across four tracks. Aptly titled, “Maui” and “Cocoa” provide an offset, skippy variety of beats coupled with influences of jazz and house, which form the core of his approach with each song.

The title track “Hidden Bay” features a unique blend of sampling from nature, with the tone and energy of the song feeling balanced when connected to its housey elements. Picking up the pace, “Maintain the Brainchain” gives way to percussive elements which take precedence, with big, dirty drums creating a sweaty low-end groove perfect for any summertime get down.

Released on all significant dance portals on 1st November 2019, Andy Kas brings new flavour and energy to the MYR outfit with his unique style and dancefloor warming approach to house music.
